Nail Care Tips
The hands and feet need a lot of care, especially the nails. This is not only for beauty reasons, but also for health and hygiene reasons.
Given here are some home remedy tips for not only nail care, but also hand and feet care, as a whole:
- Regularly moisturize the hands, as well as strengthen the nails by using a mixture of one teaspoon sugar and one tablespoon lemon juice in three tablespoons of water.
- Rubbing a mixture of vegetable, olive and baby oil with three tablespoons of sugar can be used to exfoliate the hands.
- Another homemade moisturizer is a mixture of two-thirds cup of rose water with one-third cup of glycerin.
Apart from these tips one should get a manicure and pedicure done as often ass possible. In fact, according to the experts, one should do at-home manicure and pedicure once a week, and a manicure at the spa or salon once a month. This will ensure good health of the hands and feet. And in turn this will contribute to a healthy and beautiful body
Given here are at-home pedicure tips:
- One first needs to remove the old nail polish with a nail polish remover. Avoiding using acetone, as it can be rather harsh on the nails. Also one needs to remove the nail polish using circular motions.
- After this the nails should be cut to the required length.
- Then the toenails need to be filed for smooth edges.
- The feet should then be dipped for ten minutes in warm soapy water.
- After ten minutes the feet should be removed from the water and dried with a soft towel.
- The cuticle remover should be used following the instructions. Then a cuticle clipper needs to be used in order to clip away the dead cuticles. This needs to be done gently.
- Using a foot scrubber or pumice stone one needs to gently scrub their feet so that all the dead skin is removed.
- Then dip the feet into the soapy water for five minutes.
- After this remove the feet and dry them with the towel. Then with a foot cream massage each foot, up to the knee for five to ten minutes, each.
- Finally, wipe the feet and apply a coat of nail polish, preferably just a topcoat
